+1. Same question and the limited file size (3kb) seems to be a very, very low picture definition ? Thanks for help. :D

when you paste the avitar you have to delete the [IMG] on each side of the link info. The picture size needs to be somewhere around 100x100 to 150x150.

Mine's 150 X150 if you need something to judge by.

Thanks for answers. :D OK for IMG quotes. But if I select a 100x100 or 150x150, I wonder if the file size would be more than 3kb...? :?: I'll try.

I think the file size restriction might be wrong - my avatar is 16kb @ 82x110, and there are others in this thread that are in the 11-15kb range. As long as you're in the 150x150px range it should be fine.

Also, when you re size a picture with standard dimension. Such as 1024*768 You would re size it to 150*113 to maintain the proper proportions.
If you have a non-standard size such as 1280*768 you would divide 1280 by 768 and get 1.66. To get an avatard with the proper proportions divide 150 by 1.66 to get 90. The dimension of that avatard would end being 150*90.

Went ahead and moved this to the FAQ section since it's a better fit here.
