My wifes 04 kj r/r door electric window regulator went out . I took it apart and the plastic piece that slides up an down that the cable hooks to broke. Now I know that the dealer is gonna stick me for this . My question is does enyone make after market parts for this? A little time is not a problem as I have the window locked in the up position |

There is not yet an aftermarket part for this. Last I heard, Dorman had one in the works with a lifetime warranty or some such business. |

I don't have experience with Jeep service, but I'm thinking the dealer will replace your regulator, and not just that broken part. If this is the case, then I suggest you buy from a parts store and do it yourself. |

The stealership was going to charge me $400 to fix that same issue. Luckily, I got it covered under the extended warrenty I bought! |

My drivers side rear window stopped working and I would like to fix it myself. I can't figure out how to get the trim cover off. Can someone give me a step by step guide? Thanks Tim |

Dorman got anything yet TBJ? If not I guess I'm going to let the dealer put all 4 of the updated windows and regulators in, as long as the new windows are still tinted be dang if they puttin some untinted port holes in my Jeep! |

I use the replacement parts from steigerperformance.com it replaces the plastic part that broke with a metal part. comes with install directions and the window operates a lot smoother and quieter after the install. I got both sides and just fixed the one that was broken and replaced the other side before it broke. |

I just got the part from Steiger performance, it came to $84 with shipping. Instaled it this morning an it worked smoother than the factory one. this should be a permanet fix as both times that window broke it was the same piece of plastic an steiger's part is metal an very well built |
