for the past 2 weeks, my airbag light has been coming on at random times. at times it will stay on at startup, other times it will go off after a few seconds and then not come on for another 20-30 minutes. there have been spans of 1-2 days where it will not come on as well. does anyone know what could be the cause/any way to diagnose a problem with the airbag system?

The first thing to check is to see if you have a loose wire under the seat. That can cause random warning lights.
