If you are talking Lower Ball Joints, there was a recall on them and you should have gotten MOOG's put on. If it hasn't been done yet, take it to the dealer and they will do it under the recall. If you are talking uppers, they can be replaced but I believe that they are pressed in (iirc). I just did the one in the upper rear control arm and it wasn't too big of a deal. In my experience though, if the boot is torn, you should replace the joint. It doesn't take much grit in there to wear them out quickly.

upper ball joints can not be replaced the whole arm has to be R&R'd if its been a few miles then yes you have junk up in there and it will wear faster

Kake, they do not replace the LBJs with the Moogs that we buy and install. They're replaced with more junk with no grease fittings.

Thanks for the correction Tom! I will log that one to memory (now if I can just remember where it left it  ).

Your Kidding! All this time I thought the recall was done with MOOGs. I guess I got spoiled. The previous owner of this thing did a ton of quality mods before I got my greedy hands on it.
