I had my motor vehicle inspection yesterday for the Liberty. It wasn't needed to pass inspection, but my mechanic told me that he noticed the rear ball joint?? was going bad. He said he noticed a clunking sound when driving into the service bay. When I asked, they said I would start to hear clunking when driving over bumps, etc. They said it's not something that would cause an accident, but that I should have it replaced in the near future. Can anyone elaborate on what this joint is, or does it have another part name? They said it's about $80 here in Canada for aftermarket. Any ideas on the actual name and/or part number would be a help. I have not heard of a rear ball joint. Thanks
