I have a 2011 Liberty. I have a nice price for the skid plates. I now need your suggestions as to where or who I should buy the front tow hook and trailer hitch from. |

Buy the MOPAR hitch,I think it looks way better then the others.Dealer.By the time you find the best price online and add shipping the dealer could match or be close to online price.Oh you can use tow hooks, yes the two for the KJ fit.You do not have to remove the bumper fascia to install,if you have stock hardware. |

I have found Curt trailer hitches on ebay for under $150 with shipping. Are the Curt hitches a quality item? Between now and June 2011 I have no plans to use it for anything other than the Jeep Jamboree. As far as the tow hook from the dealer it will cost me around $58 after my discount. I found them for half price here... http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/searc ... ok&submit= Some of these hooks are rated at 10000 lbs. But again I want a quality product. |

The Mopar hitch fits up nice and close to the body with nothing showing below the bumper except for the hitch receiver part, the rest all hang down and show a lot more of the hitch and arms themselves . all of the tow hooks you show would be very hard to adapt to the from of a KK, you need the ones that bolt up to the frames and those universal ones will not |

What about this item for the rear hitch? http://www.gowarn.com/PartLists.aspx?plID=4594 You didn't mention a shipping cost for the mopar hitch. Or if it will even fit on my KK. |

Great news! Tommudd has agreed to sell me his trailer hitch for my KK. Now all I need is the tow hook, tow strap, skid plates, and a CB radio. And if I can a set of better tires for off road use. I have a good price on the skid plates already. The CB I'm going to look into a hand held one. Any suggestions on the tires? I'll look into using the steel rims from a KJ for the off road tires. |

This spring i'll be buying a mopar hitch for my wifes KK. Looking around, seems like jparts.com has the best prices. Its $190+shipping (shipping is under $15 for my zip code). Link: http://jparts.com/product_info.php?prod ... dm6eofs5m5 I'm also going to get the 4-pin plug & play harness. You can get the 7-pin, but you'll need to have the dealer activate it otherwise the brake controller won't work. I don't plan on towing anything with my KK that'll require a 7 pin anyway.... hell even my friends 26' boat trailer uses a 4-pin (has inertia brakes on the trailer). I forget where i found the 4-pin harness kit at... but it was $70-$80 (i may just do the old fashion thing and get a generic kit and splice in...or see what kind of connectors they use and build my own harness. It's probably under $30 in parts) |
