My lib is pretty stock, Yokohama YK580 street tires even rather than offroaders and I get 14MPG regardless of wether I'm driving in the city of highway. I also use an Amsoil air filter, oil filter and full synthetic. I like how these are advertisted to get up to something like 21-22MPG. Maybe if you were driving with a tail wind and being pulled by a huge parachute going downhill!

It can be done and more then just a air filter and full synthetic motor oil is needed. Before I lifted my '02 I could easily pull 23mpg's on the highway, even with 225/75R16 MT/R's but I'm super anal about maintenance.

Don't think I've ever seen past 19MPG lol... On the highway I'm pretty heavy on the foot sometimes and usually average 70-80MPH. I've tried sticking to 60MPH and can never seem to get a constant flow going, either a car is slowing down, so I need to pass or slow down, then waste more gas speeding back up. So I just stick with 70MPH. I'm 90% highway too.

I'm constantly at 17MPG, tune-up at 61k miles, full synthetic at 60k miles, no codes, no lift, GY Wrangler SA tires, no skids. But I learned to deal with it.

It's better than what my wife gets in her KK. Her work is only 8 miles away, according to the dash, she averages 12MPG with all the stop/go traffic in the 8 miles she travels.

Which reminds me, air filter is due, so we'll see how much that helps.

I get 22-mpg around town and love every minute of it since i am armored front to rear and on 245/70/17 even E load range. I just happen to drive a CRD though.

Nobody is stealing my gas and I'm only getting 13mpg with the 245/75/16's (including the one on top). It's not my daily driver either. I fill up at a quarter tank before the gas light comes on. Should I be concerned?

This happened right after I put the tire on top back in........October :dizzy:

I should probably take it in and have them do a tune up.

i had to dig this up.... gonna go get me a locking gas cap. man if i caught somebody stealing my gas, in a walmart parking lot non the less, i'd have them tied to roofrack just high enough that they're balls would be bouncing off my hitch as i repeated drive over the speed bumps

You got a rollover valve which act's like a anti-siphon.Those locking gas caps are well known to cause EVAP leaks and turn the MIL on and are super easy to remove without the key anyways.Plus if they really want your gas they are going to drill a hole in the gas tank, faster and easier and the tank is plastic so no sparks when drilling.

THey used to do that to gas tanks here in the walmart parking lot till one of them got caught and tackled by and ex-marine who was beating the crap out of him by the time the cops got there. But he had done between 20 and 30 cars before he got caught and he bought his gas cans, drill bits, funnels, and even drill from walmart and did his first 3 cars the same day. :ROTFL:
