Hey for all of you that might have the mopar front suspension/engine skid plate, does anybody know what bolts sizes you use for that skid plate. I need to go pick them up and instead of dealing with the dealership to try in get the info i figure wouldnt hurt to ask on here first. So if anybody know some help would be appreciated :D

They use nutzerts to mount the skid plates. If your Jeep came with skid plates, then the female part will already be in the crossmember and a quick phone call the a Chrysler parts counter should give you the bolt size. If you bought the skid plates from Jeep, then the nutzerts should have come with the skid plates. If they did not, then you will have to go to a Jeep / Chrysler dealer and get them.

I just checked my Service manual and they do not give a bolt size for nutzerts, just torque specs.

I don't know about the 05 but the 02-04 KJ's only use nutzerts for the X-fercase skid. The engine skid plate (and the fuel tank skid for that matter) already have the threaded holes in them so you would just need to find the bolts.

Let me look, I think I may have some extras around, if you make it out to Steve's they should be there.

My front skid has 4 bolts. Two are 16mm, and two are 15mm.

The skid plate bolts for a KJ(front skid, trans, and t-case) are M10x1.50x30mm.The gas tank skid bolts are M12x1.75x40mm.All are metric grade 9.8,and 10.9's for the gas tank skid(a must).

I have two nuts welded inside my skid that line up with nothing, what can I attach to them? :)
