Picture pretty much explains itself, went to wash my engine and right after starting to spray it down I noticed that there was no cap there. To be entirely honest, I don't know what it is for, but I do know that I more than likely got some water/engine cleaner in there while spraying everything down, and knowing how dusty this area is I've probably had dirt/dust in there from just general driving. Judging by how clean it is though, I'm assuming it is something that the shop here left off when I dropped off my car to get the oil changed under the justification I didn't see myself having time to learn to do it myself. I don't think I trust anyone in this town to touch my car anymore. =\

That is your PS pump.Get new cap and flush system out with new ATF+4.I'd do it ASAP as those pumps are about $150 and a new R&P will run you over $700 installed for a crappy aftermarket one,$1200+ for new OEM one.

I must be terrible at finding parts online because I'm having trouble finding one that states it will fit a kj, already made a makeshift cap from electrical tape and can call around tomorrow and get one ordered.

That's kinda high as a brand new(not remaned) PS pump from the dealership cost me only $138,the OEM EPDM belt was $90 though.

Thats a great price as OEM ps pumps around here run from $215-250 with out the pulley. Just priced them out about a month ago from 5 different dealerships.

Go online to some of the online dealers and save $60-$80,I see ther about $155 now as I bought mine 3 years ago.
