My K J CRD will crank but will not start. The injector pump has been replaced and is good. If there is a injector leaking problem will this cause the non starting problem.

Howdy Joishe Welcome to LOST

you might want to repost the question with some details over in the CRD - love that torque section - more folks will see it.

Why was the injector pump replaced? who decided it was bad?
what troubleshooting has been done?
have you read through the Noob guide? - there's a link to the manuals
http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=54207

and location might help if someones close.

Hi there.
The injector pump was replaced at a dealership who told me that it needed replacing as that was the cause of it not starting.
That did not fix the problem, they then told me that the glo plugs needed replacing as that was also part of the problem, that did not work either. They then told me that there was a problem with the ECU and that had to be replaced. It was then I considered that I was being taken for a ride. I then got it towed to a diesel specialist who said it was most probably the injectors leaking. These were tested and found to be leaking, they replaced them 2 days ago and I have had no further problems

Thank you for your help.

Incidently, as I am new to this, what is the Noob Guide and how do I access it.

Thanks again

Sorry to hear about your experiences at the Dealer....they sound as useless as the ones here in SA.

Welcome to the Forum....you are now in the right place to sort out any KJ problems and save time and money.

Go back to the Forum Index and then go down to "Liberty CRD Love the Torque"
This is the Forum for CRDs and has everything you need to get keep your CRD healthy.
The first thing to do is read the Sticky at the top.."Sams NOOB guide"...it gives you great information on the CRDs.

Then post your queries in the "love the torque forum"....there is another forum below that called "CRD Tech" but that is for reading about how to fix things and is not there for posting questions. :)

Howdy joishe - in my first post - the sentence below the word manual - is a link
click on it and take you to the noob guide - which is in the CRD section - although there are some variations in the 'export' Australian, European, South African versions.
