I'm a new crd owner with only 500 miles on the od. I bought the 6y/75k warrenty. The dealer told me today that if a aftermarket upgrade such as a Preditor module was installed the computer would pick this up with a code and could possibly void the warrenty if something happen to the motor. Is this true alot of you are using aftermarket equip. whats happening to your warrenty? I would like more power and the hopes of better fuel mileage as all of us would but on the other hand I want my warrenty to be good to 75k. As in my line of work this will only be about 3-4 years if I'm lucky! Thanks for your replies. Jesse |

Do a Google search on Magnusson-Moss act. It will explain how a warranty works in a situation such as you describe. Dealers love to try to scare their customers w/ crap like you described. |
