can anyone bring some tow straps? because if we are "playing" out on the ice i would prefer to not have anyone get stuck. and i really dont like doing that thing where everyone pushes the car out because i really dont want anyone getting hurt.

so i am thinking about starting a caravan up to the meet this weekend. have a little more fun with a group of jeeps driving to the meet rather than by your lonely self.

i was thinking about meeting up somewhere in the north west suburbs and heading up from there. would anyone like to join? i will pick an exact city once i look over again where everyone is coming from.

Not to thread jack, or anything. Actually, I am just taking advantage of the all MN crew here. Does anyone know where I can get a motor rebuilt, or a new engine for me 240sx? It's the Ka24de, and I really don't want to go "Far" from stock, but there is some serious issues with it, and I would just rather do it right, than to try to fix crap here and there. Mind as well do it all at once. It should be cheaper that way.

It depends if you want to ship it or not? When I live in atlanta i blew up my Grand Am and found a place that imports japanese motors. I guess in Japan, their emissions tests are so strict motors dont usually pass after like 40000. So instead of getting a new car they just get new motors and send the old ones over here. I payed like 5 or 6 hundred for a motor. http://www.nadauto.com/ you can try them

No grandparents up here and I want to start taking him with me when I go wheel anywhere so he can learn. So he will most deifnitely be with me this summer when I drive over there to wheel with you guys/girls (if any). I thought about getting him one of those chips they put in your dog so you know where it is when it gets lost. jk

if you are gunna get a new motor for a 240sx you mind as well go all the way and put in an SR20...they are bullet prof and fast. but if you just want a motor look on the local forums for people who are ditching their KAs for SRs. thats your best hope for the least amount of money. if you need some local forums PM me and i will get some links.

Ok guys and gals?, Who is going to bring what to this little shindig? Does anybody have a grill they can bring? I have a little propane camping grill if i remember right. Anybody gonna fish? I only have a hand auger so if anybody has a gas one... I am still trying to hook up some acreage to mess around on as a plan B if the ice is junk. (I will update later in the week the ice conditions as reported by the "locals.") From what i understand the land is somewhat rolling and not just flat. The owner is hard to track down. Any questions comments or concerns just give a shout out!! Kel

Cell reception is good. I only have a tow strap that has hooks. But it had worked for towing out and being towed out so far.

I've got one of those table top bernzomatic propane cylinder grills. I'll bring that. Bring whatever you want to grill. I've posted signs at the local gas stations as well to get the word out.

i will be 21 on July 7th. I am in Aberdeen SoDak. its in the upper NE corner. I would be down to go somewhere if tis not to far of a drive for me. Lets all go out to the black hills for camp jeep in June (IIRC)

looks like its just you and i Maximum in a caravan. where should we meet up? i am in Eden Prarie. also i think we should pick and exact address to meet up at up there like everyone meet at this address and then we can head out on the lake together. because i really don't want people driving around the lake looking for a public access or driving all over the lake looking for people who could be in LOST.
