I dont think that you would absolutely have to get an alignment right away. If you toe is close you will be able to drive it just fine. With a tape measure I can get that really close. The camber probably wont be off by more than a few degrees.

yeah i was more just worried about coming up with the money for renting the spring compressor. i don't think the alignment will be all to bad as long as i don't use 4wd and i haven't since the last snow storm so yeah.

hey maximum you will have to run with me up to home depot tomorrow if we do it tomorrow so we can get some clevis rings to throw in there to.

any other ideas? or anyone have a garage that we can use? i dont like working in the cold otherwise i would say use my town home garage but also it has no electrical outlets for lights or anything.

I dont think that it would be to bad in a cold garage, we will be moving and busy. I have a heater that goes on a proplane tank that works pretty good if you have a tank to out it on.

i was thinking of just running a room heater. i have an electric one that should be able to do the job. its just that our garage dosent seal very well at all. but i think tomorrows high will be 40ish so it wont be freezzing. im still not thrilled at the idea but we will have to see what maximum says.

no i havent heard from him yet.

but lets meet up at the McDonalds right by the subway that we meet at last time. because i need to go to home depot and grab some clevis rings to add on to the lift for some more bump up and then we can grab the spring compressor and head off to my moms. if you want while we go to home depot you can drop of your jeep at my townhome so you dont have to follow me around for all the other stuff. and then we can do this shizzy.

i am on dial up internet here so if you could print out a step by step of how to do this lift (daystar 2.5" spacer lift) and then how to add a clevis lift that would be sweet. its an 03 KJ 4x4 Limited. this internet is so slow it pains me to even browse the net. and then we should be good to go.

also can you look up what size clevis rings we need

if you just want to bring all the tools you think we will need that would probably be best seeing as my mom has been using my tools so they will be very un orginized. but i do have some tools here and i have a drop light that has a long cord.

anyone who wants to join us is more than welcome to. we will be meeting at the Mcdonalds on shady oak road and minnetonka blvd. i think thats right? JMSMN will correct me if im worng.

did you find any good step by step guides? or how big of clevis rings we need? and where to put them lol. i am new to 4x4s i am used to coilovers :P

also while we have the spring compressor and are going to home depot do you want to clevis your KJ to? its only like less than an inch lift but since we are doing one the second one will be easy.

Yup, found the step by step directions. It takes a 2" ID conduit nut, and that isnt a bad idea to maybe do mine two, the front end is a bit saggy.

You don't need the spring compressor to do a clevis. Just unbolt clevis, put washers on and rebolt.
