I've got to go up to the Mayo in the next couple of weeks, so I was wondering, any place I can take the Libby, in between tests?

Hey! I'm in Rochester. There is little to nothing around here for offroading (legally). There is a local 4x4 Unlimited club that members have access to land, but most of these rigs are running 38"+ tires and the trails are too difficult for our libbys. They also have a shop that I'm bringing my Jeep into on Monday. I'll ask them if they know of any places to go!

Thanks, and you're right: ruts from 38inchers are a little to deep for my little 245/70s to follow, but I may have to take the long way home, through Michigan's U.P..... 8) I'll keep a lookout for any updates you may post, I just thought maybe I could catch a little mud, since I have to go 500 miles to get to Rochester.

(Hey! Nobody said I HAVE to go through Illinois and Indiana to get back home!) :D

Any unpaved forest roads in that RJD Mem Hardwood State Forest down there? I'm new to the state and have not ventured south from the cities yet.

I haven't found any public trails or unpaved roads down here. I just searched for RJD Memorial Hardwood State Forest and found a bunch of horse, mountain bike, and ATV trails but nothing for ORV's. A buddy of mine found a minimum maintenance road a few years ago that even had a few very shallow river crossings, but I think the DNR closed it because vehicles were disturbing/polluting the water.

I just got back from the 4x4 shop. They don't know of any trails besides the ones their private club has on their land. :(

Thanks for trying. Like I said, I may just have to detour a little in Wisconsin, or hit a few forest service trails in Michigan's U.P. on my way home. Depending on when I go, it may be snowy by then, giving me a little more fun along the way. 8)

Have you been anywhere with the 'Rough Riders'? I've been down to Donelly's and all the trails I saw would stop a lifted liberty in about 2 seconds. I would like to know of some trails we can go on, so if you or your brother find out, let me know!!!

Where exactly is Donnelly's? Is there a website for it? I'm compiling a GoogleEarth list of everywhere in the country to wheel, and I don't have very many in MN.

It is private land owned by a local 4x4 club. You must be a member to have access to it.

Does the club have a website?
