Was looking around on the internet for places to go offroad. There was one place down in Appleton, MN. It looked descent, nothing to serious or treacherous. Just looked like a fun spot to get together. Would anyone like to get together down there and do some offroading.

Looks like a good time. It's closed right now due to wet conditions until further notice, though. We'll have to keep an eye on it. I would be up for it when it reopens. :D

It's quite a drive from Rochester, but I would consider it. Sounds like it would be fun!

Is there anybody out there? All things concidered this would almost be our best turnout. Camping, beer drinking, bonfires, come on people chime in, it will be fun.

When are you thinking? Have not been to Appleton OHV. Have done Gilbert a few times, that place can be a ton of fun.

I'd be willing to head down there. For me it would depend on how long we'd plan to be there and when. I like the 3-day weekend idea floated earlier by Yellocoyote.

I looked at the website but didn't see any mention of camping facilities?

tons of info on general OHV use in the state in this pdf: http://files.dnr.state.mn.us/outdoor_activities/ohv/ohv_brochure.pdf

From what I'm seeing here there are a TON of places one could drive a Jeep around. Not necessarily Off-road parks, but miles and miles of forest roads and trails.

Sounds like our NE Wisconsin runs in Nicolet NF - not an offroad park, but lots and lots of off paved road surfaces. Still a lot of fun. :D

I'm looking forward to that one in June!

What weekend in June is it. My wife and I were planning on going last year but something came up, really want to make it this year. Why instead of a small get together, we should go to nicollet forrest for that. Sounds like more fun, more jeeps, and camping.
