Hey all long time to see I have a question for all you Grand Cherokee Experts...... My sisters jeep is a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laradoe and her cooling fan will not come on. We pulled the codes and it is giving us a Fan Control Relay is bad, so we did the obvious went and picked one up and grabbed the book and the book is showing the thing on the right fender under the battery. We pulled all that out and the thing is not there. Did an internet search and we found several topics about how the 04 with the 4.0l engine didnt use a FCR but was controlled by the computer. Can anyone give any guidiance on this matter. This is her only DD and she needs it to get to work. Is this thing elsewhere or is the other topic searches true about the Jeep not having one. |

toss on a mechanical fan and your good to go...or hot wire the fan to a toggle switch that she can control when she notices it heating uP. |

sorry, my 4.7 is dramatically different from that 4.0.... |

if it's similar enough to the 4.0 wrangler, same general year, look to the left of the radiator for a square black box that wires to the electrical fan |
