 Post subject: tire size for a WJ

a freind of mine just got a wj and he that needs tires.
and another friend has tires off a jk that are 255/75-17 they were left at his house wheels and all

will they fit a stock wj if not how much lift would be needed they were on a lifted wj at one point

it would be nice he can have all the wheels and tires for 300

Good news. The bolt pattern is correct.

255/75-17 = 32x10x17.

According to that chart, 255-75-17 is pretty close to 265/75-16 (31.7x10.5x16). So you will need a min. 3" with minor to moderate trimming or 5" for no trimming.

they were on a wj with only 4 inches of lift and they looked small the guy also had even bigger mts so probably 2" at most we will have to see
