Before I go out today to look at a trade-in of my KK, I wanted to ask for your opinions on the 07 GC diesel's (4wd). Thanks for any info/advice guys.

215 horsepower, 376 lbs of torque ( more than the 5.7 Hemi) 7200 lbs of towing
Have a buddy who had an 06 traded it on the 07 and swears he'll run this one forever, ride is good as any Grand, power seems to be there. He's had his since new and over 75,000 miles and no problems at all.

So I get out there this afternoon... and find something that made me wanna scream out loud "OMFG!"

The guys there (from the phone) swore up and down that it was a CRD. Turns out it was a FlexFuel V8. I just looked at them and shook my head.

And left.

So you would think that a full blown Chrysler dealer would know what was really on their lot. Especially when it was right in front of their office.

Doesn't surprise me..... Ask the them if they have ever seen a CRD KJ

Dealerships are like zoos... you have monkeys wrenching on your jeep when it breaks and you have vultures selling cars and sharks as finance managers................

Ya know Digger, this is gonna sound un-american and all... but I don't mean it to be. But, when I had a VW (make that 3), I never in my life saw a more dedicated bunch of Dealer employees. I've even had 2 Jaguar's. No competition. And it's strange too. I go to take the "other" car to any dealer I can find, and not one knows what kind of gas cap it needs. I swear to the man himself 3 dealerships for that car tried to sell me a gas cap for a brand new one. And no, they're not the same. At all.

So the lesson here is, well hell I don't wanna say it.

I hear ya....the '10 Grand Cherokee doesn't compare to the '05 Liberty CRD (in regards to fuel economy) that I previously owned ! :banghead: :(

I'm sure i've mentioned it at some point before, but i had a old vw rabbit pickup truck that had a little diesel in it, wouldn't go over like 60, but would smoke the tires through 3rd gear and got 50ish mpg

a few more ponies and a 5th gear and i'm sure it woulda cruised just fine at 80

Own a 2008 WK CRD 4X4....
there is no comparison... these rides are INCREDIBLE!
The power is VERY impressive.. accelerated faster while pulling a 2012 mazda 6 than a newer volvo station wagon/mid size SUV (sorry don't know volvo vehicles)...
ask if you want to know anything specific.

fixed the Jeep ON the dealers lot and got $10K off the tag for a $52 repair! XD
