Post subject:  TPMS problem

I own a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with a five-wheel TPMS system. It has worked perfectly for six years/ 99,000 miles. I just had all four tires replaced, not the spare tire, and immediately received the overhead console message "tire sensor bad/ missing". I retrained all five sensors and ran the EVIC diagnostic. It showed that the SPARE sensor was not working. I replaced the spare sensor ($45 by the same vendor who provided the new tires) and retrained all sensors and re-ran the EVIC diagnostic. I still get the console message of "tire sensor bad/ missing" and the EVIC diagnostic still indicates the SPARE is not transmitting. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on what to do next? Thanks.

It's always a possibility that you have a defective "new" tire pressure sensor. Might not hurt to try another one.......
