Hey guys, My name is Clint and I also own a ZJ. Of course it is a LOST ZJ and I love to wheel it almost as much as my KJ. It runs on an RE kit with 33 on beadlocks. Lots of other cool mods as well. I am installing a long arm kit in the next few weeks and will make some updated post as soon as I have completed that. Very cool making the first post in the LOST ZJ section. later...Clint

Nice Jeep, Clint. The ZJs/WJs are definitely my next favorite Jeeps other than KJs.

Post subject: ZJ swing-gate for spare tire
PostPosted: Wed Mar 15, 2006 8:11 pm
Clint,

Hey, it's me, Jim -- remember? NP231 installation from hell? Thanks again for lever. It's still sitting on my desk, but will be installed before we head for the canyon in May.

Not sure if you're still looking for one (you mentioned you were looking to fab one yourself I think), but Tomken just reported they're going to start building (next week) a spare tire swing for their ZJ rear bumper. Looks solid. I got part numbers if you want. Hanson Enterprises (somewhere around Fresno) is talking about making one, but haven't told me of any firm plans.

Hope to be down your way again soon and actually test the rig in the dirt. Cheers, -jk

If they're the same company that makes the bumper that was on this years CA4WD sweepstakes Jeep, they're over in Salinas near to me. I keep meaning to wander over there on accident after work...

Dang I have made a lot of changes to the ZJ after posting the first set of pictures. I am running an RE Long Arm kit with some spacers from a budget boost so the lift is right at 5". Very nice ride with the long arm kit for sure. I ran the short arm kit but did not care for the ride. I am moving to 35s on the next tire swap (not too far down the road at all). I have already done alot of sheet metal trimming to clear everything when it is flexed out. No rub at all right now but I am sure I will have to do more when I move to the 35s. ARB lockers front and rear, 456 gears but wish I had gone with the 488s. Stroker engine with all kinds of other engine mods as well. Still have tons of other mods I want to do just have to find the time right now and that seems to be very hard to come by. I have all the specs on my lost zj site and it might help to check that out if you have other questions. http://www.lostzj.com I am working on a major body change for this rig and a paint as well...More to come on that as soon as I have some time to get some major stuff done. Later...Clint

The first picture is with the short arm kit . I think it was with a 3.5 lift and budget spacer to make it around 3.5 - 4...Sorry its been a while. I ran 33s with that for a long time before I started trimming but was not real happy with the ride. The long arm kit is an outstanding ride and flexes like crazy. Hope that helps. Later...Clint
