Get ready to start moddin...

you are also probably going to have to modify the way your rock rails mount...

cause the RE kit bolts over to the pinch weld in a few spots..

overall its a pretty easy kit to install... mod the rear and 4 link it......

I already took the junkie looking Kevins sliders off because I knew I need to. They are not going back on my jeep at all.

Boulder Bars are made just about 200% better and they also dont look like a 2X4 board painted black bolted to the bottom of the ZJ.

It already had a RE kit so I am just doing the upgrade. I plan to cut the exhaust off the second time and then redo it again once I have all the kit welded on.

I had already installed a SYE kit when I swapped out the 249 for a 231 so that is already dont ...the springs shocks are the same so...it really aint no big thing. Later...Clint

Clint, Let me know when you plan on doing the lift. I can be of some assistance. I'll drink all of your soda and give you kind words of encouragement :P.

totally agreed, those sliders could be built in a day by my 6 year old..

the only thing good about them is that they stick out past the rockers, but as for looks and the mounting..... pretty booty fab...

I try to tell alot of guys about them and kinda stay away, but people are cheap and you get what you pay for....

I'd skip the 4 link and run a 3 link...it's simple geometry-it only takes 3 points to suspend a plane, any more and you get a binding effect. For the most travel and articulation-a 3 link is the way to go.

yea...i just dont have the time right now to deal with a custom setup...my ZJ has a frod 8.8 in the rear and would need a custom mount. time is a real problem for me right now. I will be OK with the Long Arm kit and maybe at a leter date set up a custom mount for the Ford rear diff.. The ZJ will flex like mad already so it will not be a problem right now...Stupid Ford. later...Clint

Yeah, 3 link works fine, but you have to run a big booty heim and you run into loading issues with a 5K pound ZJ.

I run a simple 4 link with adjustable antisquat

a 4 link has a little better options when desiging the roll axis center for it..

Plus you have redundancy on the links, if you bust one of the rod ends you still have another holding the rear axle on.

BTW clint, you could get an axle truss for an 8.8 from a number of companies now that accomodates a 4 link.

TNT customs makes a bitchen one www.tntcustoms.com

rockkrawler makes a nice one www.rockkrawler.com

Claytons offroad makes one www.claytonoffroad.com

Also, Blue Torch Fab also makes a bitchen setup for the 8.8

Also, weld them tubes........... but I am sure you already know that.. 8.8's are notorious for spinnindgthe tubes..

And clint, I wasnt meaning you would get more flex with a 4 link, I was simply stating that it eliminates the trackbar and greatly reduces the rear steer that is present with that darn trackbar...
