Gosh I love working on cars, if only my back didnt hurt so much. Heres all the pics of her. I did most of it then my dad came in and helped some. We are putting new exhaust headers on, cleaning the intake, new PS pump(its leaking), and a new valve pan gasket. So much fun! The thing needs alot more TLC. Its in great shape though, there are just things that need to be done to a Jeep this old(1994). It really needs a new muffler and cat, new lifters, and a complete new A/C system, and some other little thing but other than that shes like new!

Yes, that is a crack all the way around that.

Hopefully I can get it done tomorrow. She seems to have some blow-by now(156k miles). There seems to be to much oil in the intake, those valves are as clean as can be though.

Ahhh the notorious down tube crack. Don't forget to clean out the PCV Baffles in the valve cover and also the PCV line coming from the intake. Have fun Been their done that many many times.

Yea, that thing was insanely loud. When someone would start it with my room right over the garage, I was sure someone was pulling an inboard boat out of the garage. It seemed to loose power also. Idk if the 4.slow needs back pressure or what?

I dont know much about headers...What are those accordian looking things called, and what are they used for?

It allows for expansion when the header heats up to keep it from cracking.

Has anyone ever tried to get the pully off the PS pump? I cant get it off for anything and would hate to take it to a shop to pull it.

Everything is back together except the PS pump and the valve pan cover. I cant get the cover on and keep the gasket lined up, its really starting to kill me. I'm thinking of making my dad do it.
