I think I am victim of dreaded death wobble!!
I have a 96 GC with 4 inch tough country lift with rusts off road dual steering stabilizer when I hit pot holes at around 40-50 mph my whole front end feels like its going to fall off but it does not do it all the time over some bumps at the same speed nothing happens...
I just got this jeep today it was fine in the test drive an all day untill i went over a not bad at all bump at around 45mph or so an violent shakes had to pull over.. I travel the highway a lot so I cant risk it happening again while traveling down the highway with my kids in the car..
It just had an alignment done maybe a month ago an the steering stabilizer was also just put on the clamps aren't even showing any rust please how do you fix this I inspected majority of the front ent parts for looseness or broken parts an found nothing only thing i came across was the bar the the front steering stabilizer is attached to has slight play in it maybe 1/4 it turns back an forth is this the problem?

also i would look at getting a new lift if you have the funds i would look into Iron Rock offroad http://ironrockoffroad.com for a new lift
i have one of there 4 inch kits on my WJ for a little over a year and have loved it they make great kits

First thing you need to do is get it up in the air and check everything over real well.
Check for loose parts/bad bushings/ball joints/everything

I am thinking of replacing the track bar because it has a slight bit of play in it

Take some time and go to ironrockoffroad.com as noted above and read their information on death wobble. It's a link on their website about 2/3rds of the way down on the left hand side. Yes, if the track bar mounting is loose or worn it can cause what you are describing.
