Agree. I don't think id take a liberty, Grand Cherokee, or Renegade stock on the Rubicon trail. because that's the requirement to get the "trail rated" badge. not sure how any one can go stock on the Rubicon trail???? and comparing the liberty's to a Renegade is just plain wrong!
what, you wouldn't want a wrangler? if I had the time and money id buy a TJ or JKU.
don't get me wrong, I love my KK (even though KJ owners think their ugly) and would not give it up easily! unless Jeep made a Diesel Jeep here in the states and had real lockers with a 4:1.
Doesn't mean anything in the sense that Jeeps without it have the same components. Skid plates are hit and miss even on the Trail rated Jeeps. And I've had Wagoneers, Cherokees new and old and Wranglers. I bought what I liked, The Liberty fit what I was looking for. Another Wrangler didn't. I think if your trying to turn your Liberty (KJ or KK) into a Wrangler your never going to be satisfied. If your goal is to make it the most capable vehicle it can be you'll be happy.
The OP was asking about something capable of light to midrange off-roading.
OP - Good luck in your search!
