Hi everyone, I am new here and I was wondering if someone can help me with some info regarding a few problems I have I own a 2012 Jeep Grand cherokee limited 3.6ltr V6. I have just reached 70,000 km and taken it in for service (no longer under warranty) and I was told I need to replace the following... -engine mount (1 side cracked, need to replace both side) -Transmission mount (cracked) -front side lower arm assy damaged and required to replace both sides -spark plugs (6 pieces) This car has never been driven off road. Dubai has very good road condition. I am surprised that at 70K I am required to do all this repair costing me around $1600 U.S dollars for parts and labor charges. Can anyone help please!? |

Welcome to LOST, and sorry you are having these issues at only 70K! Do you notice any driveability problems yourself? If I were you I would get a second opinion from a different mechanic. If you are the first and only owner and you have never taken the Jeep off road or towed heavy loads, I would be very surprised to see this kind of damage. If there was a previous owner, you never can tell what they did to abuse the vehicle before you bought it. See if a different mechanic comes up with a similar diagnosis or whether this first shop is trying to make you pay for unnecessary repairs. Good luck with the Jeep! |
