New to this forum. I usually watch/use Liberty crd forum. I have an issue with our 2006 WK. it needs the front differential mount replaced. I have been looking at you tube and written explanations of the problem. It seems Jeep did another poor engineering job. The bushings are rubber and they wear out periodically. I didn’t know that and have been driving the car with a “clunk” noise as it is shifted from neutral for years. I thought that was just how it worked. It seems the clunk was there since day one. We’ve owned the car since new. It now has 145,XXX miles. I have been looking for more substantial bushings, msybe some sort of poly material. I haven’t had any luck in that search. Does anyone know of a vendor who might have such parts? Thanks for any help. |
