What is a good place to mount a mag-lite in an XJ ?

I am replying to a very old post, but I found the best location for my 3-D cell mag is in the right side recessed well in the rear cargo area of my '99 XJ. I used the Mag Lite mounting brackets and it has held firm and is out of the way.

I will also mount my 2-AA light on the column near the driver's side windshield. It is nice to have a small light handy, especially since I drive in darkness much of the time.
