Well I have been looking for while and think I found an XJ.

the specs so for:
96 XJ Classic 4x4 53800 miles auto power everything inside.

They are asking $5000, they are my neighbors and she is an old lady and it has never been offroad.

Good and Bad about this year XJ?

Thanks

That's a really nice price for that mileage. Especially if there's skids under it. Gonna build it or make it a DD?

No skids under it, I plan to get lifted, tires, protection and bumpers then go from thier.

Still keeping the KJ to wheel and DD. XJ = toy.

My XJ is also a 96 (4.0L, 242 TC, AW4)but it's a Country so yours is a step up I think ... I love my XJ. :D

If you plan to wheel this one there is one thing that could be a weak link - if it has a D35 rear diff (which it will if it has ABS), not to say you can't

wheel it with a D35, they are just weaker than the Chrysler 8.25 that might be under it instead even though it would most likely be 27 spline

instead of the more desirable 29 spline which was introduced in late '96, also the ABS on XJ's is not very desirable for wheeling. Only as a

reference I paid $3000 for mine a little over a year ago with almost 150K on the speedo and 2 previous owners so the price dosen't seem

unreasonable for a low mileage really nice XJ. You're gonna like the solid front axle and all the flex you can get from an XJ.

BTW lots of good info can be found on NAXJA.com
