I've seen an article on swaping in WJ calipers on an XJ for better stopping power but the catch is you have to use TJ knuckles and there is some machineing to do. My question is why not just swap out the whole front axle providing the gearing is the same? Then you wouldn't have to mess with that complicated conversion to get larger front brakes. Here is the link for the conversion I was talking about
http://www.4x4wire.com/jeep/tech/brakes ... /index.htm
this was also a note related to doing the conversion
http://www.wjjeeps.com/brakes.htm
It looks like all the mounting points are the same between a wj and an xj front D30.
So in review, wouldn't it just be easier to swap out the whole axle?
