I got an 87 XJ and I started to install my 3" lift last night, got one of the front shocks off and noticed that the NEW shock didn't have the bushing or forks that the old one has. I tried emailing Rough Country but my email came back underliverable. Anyone have this issue before? What did you do to fix it?
Thanks,
Tom

You are probably talking about the lower bar pin that goes through the bushing? There should at least be a set of bushings in the shock and you can reuse the old bar pin in that lower mount. Or you can get a set of BPE's, Bar pin eliminators to use but that adds another wad of cash to the project.

BTW, The rear upper mounts use the same BP mounting and those can be a real PITA as they get rusted and break when changing them out. Remove your rear sway bar and use the frame brackets to make rear, upper BPE's to mount the shock w/ a bolt instead of the bar pins. Just bolt the swaybar bracket in place of the bar pins and then through bolt the shocks in place. I might have some pics of that and can get pics of the front BPE's if you need them.
