What do I need to watch out for on this model?? And is $2900 to much? Body is straight with some scratches here and there, automatic & 4wd, newer tires, very clean interior. The only bad thing with it is it needs a new radio. Thanks. Matt

how many miles does it have? as long as theres not a huge amount, those 4.0 inline 6's run forever if taken care of. also check the rocker panels for rust, its very common for those to rust out. a radio is a pretty cheap fix i wouldnt worry about that. after that all you have to worry about is how your gonna lift it

Good year. IIRC the Country edition should already have slightly firmer, taller springs from the factory. the price sounds reasonable if you don't find anything wrong w/ it and the mileage isn't already at 300K.

XJ's (if not all rusted out) are usually great vehicles to start a serious build from. They have great drivetrains, are super easy to modify and parts are plentiful and often cheap if you shop used.

I still love my XJ so much that I can't bear to part w/ it. I suspect I never will.
