Before getting my 06 crd I had 3 XJ's and they are fantastic. Only my first love is diesels.

Well this past weekend I bought a 2000 XJ classic "for the wife" (Oh sure) so now I have the best of both :D

I've had a lot of experience with a whipped 89, well used 96 and now my 00 Classic with 145000 miles and no dents or dings at all. Even has the Evic thing on the ceiling
I forgot to mention the 99 XJ my son has.
Joe

OK I setup a photobucket account and figured out how to post them here  Not bad for 145,000 miles huh  Notice the spare has never been mounted, jeep rubber floor mats (original ones too) and cargo area insert. I removed the front stone shield till I get it all cleaned up and waxed 8)
Those are factory 16x7 rims too. Notice there's no corrosion on them 8) I think this was a commuter car for someone who lived in the southern part of Ohio where they get less snow and salt  That's our 17' Casita Spirit Deluxe in the background covered up for winter  With the funky transmission programming on the CRD I'm going to try it with the XJ. It has the factory towing package.

That is close to the perfect XJ. I would love to have a stocker just like that for driving around town and to use for those trips that don't require hard wheeling.

It would be very hard for me to do More than a 2" OME spring lift/ to that w/ 30-31's & leave the rest of it alone including wheels and bumpers. That is a classic Jeep.

So where are the pics of the sons XJ and when is he signing up?

Where we live XJ's are mostly owned by "chicks" or high school kids. There's a 40 year "chick" next door and a 50 something accross the street who both have 97 XJ's they bought new  So my "Chick" of 43 years desided she wanted another and twisted my arm and I oblidged her  I found it at a dealer called "Cheap cars 4U.com" who had it listed on Autotrader.com I looked for a month for this one. She wanted white with leather but didn't want to go over $4K.

The Son's XJ is a plain looking dark green sport 4 door with the "mouse hole" mag rims off his (and my) former 96 XJ  He works with computers all day at work, Unix admin for OSU, so he does not spend much time surfing after hours
