Why are most of the lift kits for the xj's for the dana 35 axle? And I need help finding a lift for mine and it has the 8.25. I looked at the budget lifts but I know I cant do those and would like to just buy a kit for 3-3.5"s of lift. Only thing is I only want to spend 350 or less. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Only difference in the kits for the D35 and the 8.25 is the ubolts, other than that, exact same kit.

Looks like a good deal. It shows lift blocks for the rear yet mentions add-a-leafs. i would make sure it comes w/ the AAL's and Not the blocks. The blocks will only further weaken stock springs while the AAL will "help" the stock springs last a little longer while giving you the lift.

While you enjoy your new lift over the next year or so, I would shop around for a full rear pack though as the difference is huge over the AAL.

The RC one is about as good as you will get for the $$ you want to spend. The ones from Rubicon Express that I would suggest will set you back a bit more.

ok I decided on the rc one and it comes with:
Front: 3" lifted coil springs, lower control arms, and sway-bar drop brackets. And a steering stabilizer

Rear: Add-a-leaf springs and hardware.

Shocks: Kit includes (4) Nitro 9000 series shocks

what else do I need to get????

can of PB blaster.

Remove rear sway bar, use sway bar frame brackets as cheap upper shock mounts so you can get rid of the bar pins.

don't be surprised if the rear AAL doesn't give you the full lift the front coils Will OR if it sags over time.

Take pics during install and share the process w/ us here.

If you don't get the lift you expect in rear, not a bad idea.
