2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 2dr. Black with tinted windows. 4.0 Litre, 4x4,103,XXX miles. A/C blows cold, Interior and Ext good, Drives great. No Leaks, No rust, Tranny fluid just replaced. I dont drive the Jeep much, I put just over 2k miles on it in one year. Rims and Tires are from a wrangler, good tread left. It's a great Jeep...thanx for looking. David

Bad:
- has a few dings
- cruise control not working
- passenger side window switch works on occasion, can be operated from driver side no probs
- has factory stereo with tape deck

Location: Portsmouth

if you buy that XJ and want to build it replace the front axle bc it is a LP you can find a HP from an early 90's and bolt ti in and be good to go.

it doesnt sound bad, just the axle is a LP which is weaker than the HP and the rear axle might be a D35, you would just need to check on that. I like the XJ's and there are several companies that make just about everything for the XJ

The 4.0s are tough...keep up on regular maintenance and don't abuse it too hard, and it will last for quite sometime...

And since its newer, chances are it has the 8.25 in the rear instead of the D35...

that sounds like a pretty good deal, I had a 92 XJ and I beat the snot out of it and never really did anything to it but oil changes and it made it to 250k easy before having any problems

so they sold that one that i wanted before i could get to it..
here the new find..

so im still in the look for an XJ. im going to keep the kj. the reason of me buying another car i wanted to help my parents out. they need a reliable car. i will probably keep the xj and give them the kj. its going to be something temporarily. i hope to get the kj back like in november or january at the most. thats why i wanted something 1500$ or less. so my first find was sold 2 days into my search. now i found this one which interest me a lot because its a 2 door. just want i wanted.

here is the info..

1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport XJ 2 door 4x4 5spd - $1000 it has 174,000 miles.

he said that still drives good, that it could drive from norfolk to north Va. (almost 250 miles) with no problem. the only thing would be to get new tires for it. cause the ones on it are pretty worn out. the other thing was he was saying something about the passenger door is falling door. apperantly a common problem on XJs in the 90s dont know exactly which model.

my second choice im still waiting on a response from the dude.

why i wanted an xj and not a wrangle. cause for some reason i cant find a cheap wrangler and i like xj my dad had one back when he worked for the goverment and it was all blacked out. it brings me good memories.
