Burch, the tires will fit....eventually I'm sure.

Sign up on NAXJA and start the ball rolling on a budget build and I'm sure someone will come through w/ some cheap or free spacers and parts to make a budget leaf pack. Or hit the PAP's for the goods. I read about folks finding lifted XJ's in PAP's all the time.

Martys write up on budget lifting is a good one. We used some of his ideas on that kids XJ I worked on a while back. dang shame I couldn't get him to return his to stock before he sold it so cheap, I wanted to stash the budget lift parts in case you found an XJ, I knew it was only a matter of time.

Talk to signcutter (mike) about stickers......he just might know where to find some.

oh btw, my xj is a 94 too so if you need pics, etc I can snap pics of underhood stuff for ya. A local up here used mine to figure out the AC on his since it was gutted when he got it. I will probably wheel mine next weekend out at El MIrage if you can go ride along.

That is a nice jeep. I like the square look of the ARB.

I have read so much on the internet the past week, I can't keep anything straight. I think I read marty's deal, but I don't remember. There was something about using front coils from an F150, or / and coils from a WJ, and then rear leafs from a Durango. My little brain is so overwhelmed by it all. I need to get the title in hand first.

Here is another forum i found that has some useful stuff on it.

Front coils from a V-8 WJ and you can find the additional leafs off an XJ you find in a junkyard (like we did). IIRC, the longer ZJ Upcountry Monroe shocks for the front are the best and MJ Monroe shocks for the rear. Excellent budget boost!!!!

Maybe Troy will get you a good deal on the brackets....

Only downside I see is ABS which means it has a Dana 35......not a huge deal w/ the simple life you have planned for it though.

I'm amazed at how clean the interior is, did it come w/ the seat covers? Really looking forward to seeing it on the trail. Bringing it on the 13th?

No can do. It's going to take at least 30 days to get the pink. Roy is going to help me with the paper work for the lien sale tomorrow.

I'm still trying to get the build sheet out of DCX (or what ever they're called now) but not having any luck. After all the spiders are gone, I'll crawl under there and see what she has for hardware.

The upside of the D35 is there are tons of things made for it compared to the 27-spline Corporate 8.25.

Don't be surprised, if it was a U.S. government vehicle, that it has stuff on it that it is "not supposed to have" for that year, or in combination that are not supposed to exist.

My buddy's 1994 XJ, the best that we can tell, was actually produced for the Canadian-market (serial numbers match this assessment), but sold in the U.S. to local government somewhere. It has a non-ABS, c-clip D35 rear, but it has 3.73 gear ratio w/ an AT mated to the 4.0L I-6, but does not have a tow-package or the "Up-Country Package" (i.e., it is not lifted and it DOES have the rear swaybar), but does have a small steel front skid plate that you have to remove to drop the alternator out.

So, basically, anything is possible...

That is actually really nice looking Burchie. Nice find. I also really like the color to be honest. Stands out from the crowd. Gonna look sweet lifted and built up a little.

That's a steal for $500. I always like that body style. We had a '94 Country addition for about 3 months until motor started making noise, guess that left a bad taste so I never looked at one again. There is a lifted one near me for $4K, too nice to trail though, but catches my eye every night.
Good job, now beef it up a little and hit some trails!!

Okay, as a test of trying to currently getting a build sheet (again, I realize my KJ is 10 yrs younger than Burchie's XJ), I went to the following site on Tuesday and submitted a request for a build sheet for my vehicle:

I submitted one of these requests in 2007 when I started work on first modifying the vehicle and the one above is the same EXCEPT that the older one also had the order codes for each option listed as well.

Don't know if this will help, but I hope so... :)
