Know of a 1996 Cherokee for sale

'96 Cherokee with 158K miles:

The owner lives in Arlington, VA and the Jeep is broke down in Ohio. He was pulling his new camper home when the auto. tranny went out. He said the Jeep dealer in OH said it would cost more to rebuild the tranny than what the Jeep was worth.

I have sent him a message asking for details about it. Such as, is it a 4X4 etc. I'm waiting for a reply. If someone had a tranny it might be worth getting. My guess is he will let it go cheap.

I was actually looking on craigslist yesterday for cherokees, not sure why. Bet somene in Ohio will gobble that thing up pretty quick. We got a pay and pull just down the road, could score a used tranny pretty cheap.

Car-Part.com says Marshall Auto Parts in Circleville, OH has more of these transmissions than they know what to do with so they're selling them for $49.95.
