Well I am officially back into the XJ world!!

Found this on Cherokeeforum.com that overheated and needed a head and head gasket, but was in NC where my dad lives, and I am in OH. So I took a risk and bought it sight unseen, and had a tow truck pick it up and take it to my dads shop. Well we found out its little rod knock so I am in the market for a good running complete 4.0 to swap in.
Its a 1999 Cherokee Classic with the 4.0 142k Auto 231 Tcase, D30 front and C8.25 rear, 4.5" RC lift with 33" BFG MTs on soft 8s, custom front bumper, rock sliders, rear hitch, bushwacker flares, bedlined interior floor, K&N intake and custom exhaust with dual tips, new Sony CD player, CB and PA system, the doorless mod etc..
It does have some minor trail damage but completely rust free, and no major damage.
Eventhough I haven't seen it in person I am pretty happy with what I have seen in the pictures, as well as what my dad had to say of what he knows so far and since he use to manage a Chrysler Jeep and Eagle (when they still had it) bodyshop/service department for 20 years ending in about 01-02? So he know just about everything about the XJs :D
Now lets play guess the price!

I actually am no stranger to the XJ world, I use to have a 2000, that I got stock and built up, but then ended up trading it as a straight trade for the 06 KJ from a kid who was given the KJ from his parents but wanted something better for off-roading, which to trade for something 6 years newer with 65k seemed like a no brainer to me, even though my XJ was in perfect condition and KJ needed some minor work to get to my liking.

I missed it a lot which is why I started browsing for another, and this one fits the bill perfectly, and reminds me of my old one!

Got a used motor from another 99 XJ with 85k on it delivered to my dads shop today! Its getting a new rear main seal, valve cover gasket and a good look over before the install!

Well actually my dad and his main Porsche tech/buddy are doing the install for me, I am working on his house up here in OH to get it ready to be put on the market, and my payment is he is doing the motor install haha
But it ended up getting a whole new gasket/seal kit. New rear main, front main, valve cover, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, TB, waterpump and I think thats all he said. Also a new waterpump, thermostat, belt, plugs and wires, all at his cost, so it beats me having to pay for them down the line at full price, and should keep it reliable for me for a while! The radiator the PO put in a week before the overheating so that is being tested to make sure its alright to be put back in also :D
