Yipee Skipee! Finally a place for us odd ball MJ's to hang our hats. Thanks LOST for making me feel at home. Sooooo....a little history. I bought my MJ brand spanking new off the lot in 1992, an Eliminator package, the last year Jeep sold the MJ. I drove it home, 23 miles, and pulled it apart. When it went back to the dealer a 2 weeks later for the 500 mile check up, it had a Rancho 3" lift and a Warn bumper & winch. It's gone through 3 more lift iterations to where it is today, RE 6" front, elcoyote special rear. Other notes, engine rebuild around 230K, now runnning a blower with about 300K+ on the rig (odometer died some time back so this is a guesstimate). Casualties: killed 3 ARB's, 2 Dana 35's, 1 supercharger. Accidents: Lost axle on Pasadena 110 on wet pavement on Deadmans' curve at 65, two 360's and slammed rearward into the guard railing. Replaced bed & shell. House of Blues, bad valet parked TJ on top of cab...nuf said. Favorite accident, if there can be such a thing...starter solenoid short got starter going while parked in gear (unattended) and MJ proceeded to seek out the most expensive vehicle in lot to grind into...and push it across lot until spendy car was sandwiched & squished between light post and MJ...imagine my expression when I went looking for my truck...Bad MJ, bad...bad...Hello, Insurance Company? Well it's like this you see....
Anyhow, my MJ is my first Jeep, love her to pieces. To all of you viewing this, you'll watch me wheeling her 'til there ain't no more hydrocarbons to burn!

Hey ElCoyote! Great history post. Beautiful truck the MJ. I like the idea of having a "favorite accident." My 05 CRD KJ is my first Jeep. It won't be my last, but I plan to have her for a loooooooong time.

Slightly off topic; I love your trailers and am dying to get one...just gotta convince my fiancee that it's a better purchase than clothes or diamonds. I figure a few trips up into the Mtns and a few showers under the Shower Bag might do it. Then take a little trip with an Adventure Trailer and she'll BEG me to buy one!

You don't need someone to run an Adventure Trailer distribution center in, ohhh, say...Virginia Beach, do you?

Mario is the owner of Adventure Trailers. Sweet capable rigs! nice sturdy tents on them too. He's got a banner on the top of the forum you can click on for more info.
