Rhett, the new engine should come with a gasket kit, and whomever you buy it from will prolly require you to replace some components to satisfy the warranty requirements. Your list looks great BTW |

Yeah Rhett, my 1600.00 4.0 actually ended up costing almost 2100 by the time of new fluids, a starter, and other stuff, thank goodness my Optima was under warranty |

JeepBumm68 wrote: ECM/PCM whatever works for that year. I shouldn't need a new ECM as long as mine is working fine; however, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a spare one. JeepBumm68 wrote: do the new 03-06 manifold $!!!, and header (older ones were know to crack bad) I'm probably going with the Banks header JeepBumm68 wrote: Injectors Oh yes, I will add those to the list. I'm definitely replacing mine. JeepBumm68 wrote: can you tell me what all the remand engine comes with on it> I’m not sure which remanufactured engine I’m going with. I’ll start comparing the different engine manufactures when I’m ready to make the swap. I'm not trying to rush this, LOL............ Hopefully my original motor can last another year or longer. I just don't want to be caught with my pants down, so I'm preparing for the worst. |

sounds good. also try find the new heads from the 03-06 wranglers. they changed just a tad bit and offer better flow, same with the manifold. Pretty much you are going to have everything from the org to change over. |
