Been having some awesome weather lately, so I decided to clean up some rock chips and surface rust, and put on some Rustoleum Hammered on the lower section of the doors. You can't make out the hammered effect in the pictures, but it looks very slick. I like the Rustoleum Hammered because it is very tough stuff, has a neat look to it, and in the right weather, it blends very nicely during spraying without showing any lines in the spray pattern. In the very near future, I will be repainting the entire jeep with the Rustoleum Hammered Green, and for the armor (that is currently removed for painting) will have a neat paint scheme to it to go along with the business "lizard" theme. The bottom picture is a test subject for the lizard theme paintjob for the armor.

Will that pattern take as long as it looks like it would take or do you have a magical shortcut?

Couldnt he just paint the skids black then put some netting on top and repaint it green? There's your magical shortcut

Pretty much all there is to it. Took me a whole 3 minutes to make the scales (since the guinea pig was already black).

I was thinking that too, so you'd just need a steady hand when lifting the net off so you don't have tacky smears? Nice!

You spray it and leave it until it dries, then take the fish net off. Just have to spray light, and not oversaturate, or it will run or soak into the net and bleed into the black lines.

RL: Nice pic of Mr Pike's Peak. Brings back fond memories of my 6 years in COS and Monument.
