I have a 05 Liberty CRD and LOST has been a great help to me. so now im asking for your help concerning a 1994 jeep xj. it has a 4.0L in it. automatic 2x4 with less than 55k miles. it looks to be in good shape with no rust. just wondering if there was any common problems with this vehicle before i purchase it or is it just a bad year that i should stay clear of. the jeep is for my wife, she has wanted one for a while and she is cool with a 2 wheel drive. just want to make sure it doesnt have problems like the '01 with the head. they are asking $6000 i dont think the price is to bad because it is very clean.

There were some known issues of where the harness plug into the OBC. A row of small brass contacts inside the OBC on the circuit board would become loose or corroded and cause the motor to stall or not crank. Many U-Tube video's out there on how to open the OBC up and solder the contacts to fix the problem...
I have personally performed this repair on two Jeeps...
