moderators.. move this if you need too.. i didnt see anyone asking for a vehicle in the forsale area.. so thought i'd post here.. looking for older wrangler.. doesnt have to be fancy or lifted.. late 80s-90s.. automatic preferred.. wife wants it just body structure in good shape and not a rust bucket.. i live in western NC.. so anyone basically in the area of KY, TN, VA, NC, SC, GA is in my drive range.. if you have one or know someone with one or seen one for sale for reasonable price.. let me know.. my budget for this project is tops 1000-1500.. it needs to run ok and the tranny needs to be ok.. if you see one.. let me know

its too bad you dont live closer to CA I know where you could pic up a wrangler pretty cheap. I believe its an 88 or 89

I don't think you'll get much of a wrangler for 1,000 or 1,500, rusted up junky ones are around 2,500 up here, good luck with your search .

I know of one around here that runs but has been rolled. As far as I know the drive train, suspension and frame are still good. You would have to find a tub but you could probably do everything for cheap and it would be something you built.
