I've been flat-towing but do you think I can trailer it with the KJ? Total weight will be under 5000#

Only thing I would worry about would be your brakes. My KJ's were great for towing but I always used trailer brakes when I towed. They do make systems for flat towing vehicle that use the brakes on your YJ to assist your towing KJ. But I think they cost about $800.

I see. You have the spare off, and a funky receiver on it. That's what I want to know about... What is the angle like on the toebar w/ the 33's on?

The receiver is adjustable 1" to 7" of drop or rise. With the33s I have it set at 6" of rise and the tow bar sets fairly level.
The draw bar hits the spare tire
