04-06 Unlimited cargo space?

So, can someone give me an estimate of the depth of the cargo area in an Unlimited? All I've been able to get is cargo volume, which doesn't help me decide if the dogs can fit in it or not (labs). Tomorrow I have to tell them to dealer trade for the 06 unlimited X or the 06 sport golden eagle. the scary thing is that if you look at features, they are almost identical (Dana 44, 30" tires, etc.), but the unlimited is cheaper... makes you wonder.

Go with the unlimited, you'll be much happier with it especially if you have dogs. If i remember right the unlimited give you about an extra foot and a half of depth.

Just to give you an idea on cargo space, I pulled my backseat out and have my 35" spare tire in there with a little room to spare. I can still fit my cooler in the back when I go wheeling.

With my backseat folded & tumbled, my 153 lb. Great Dane can lay down comfortably, if I remove the seat he can stretch out....

Well two labs can fit for a short time, although the smaller one jumped over and sat on the kids

At least it was only a 20 min. ride, 24" deep isn't enough for a long ride.
