Post subject: | Towing with a TJ? |
Hey guys, I've got a question for y'all. My sister-in-law is moving from San Antonio to Chicago next month and she'd like to pull a 6x8 U-Haul trailer behind her '00 TJ (V6, auto.) Does anyone see a problem with this? I've already warned her about driving slower and not making sudden steering inputs, and I'll ensure the trailer is loaded properly, so those issues are taken care of already. |

Since the wheel base on the TJ is so short, it feels a little squirely. |

That would be a drive I definitely wouldn't want to do with my TJ... |

X2 to much to tow......check the owners manual.....it will show you that the surface area of the front of the trailer is to much (wind drag)......weight may also be an issue............. |

If her jeep has a soft top, U-haul will not rent any trailers to her, you or me. |

Thanks all. Looks like she'll be renting a truck and trailering the TJ behind it. |

That is the best way. Or call a moving company, ship the jeep, and fly. |
