Hi all, figured I'd start up a thread for the new Wrangler. If I was to dream...I'd dream for a 4 door unlimited Rubicon with a hard top in the slate blue. Or green. Or red. Or...like it matters. :D

Can't wait to see these crawling all around. So, who's getting one?

I am not getting one but I think the weekend of the 26th we are having a "realese" party at the local dealership that host the LA offroader expo
they will have I think 10 of them and we will get to "see them in action" on the test track

I don't live too far from DC's test facilities in Chelsea Michigan. I've seen a few of the 2 and 4 door versions with hard tops but no Rubicons yet.Press release photos don't do it justice - its NICE.

Is there a date yet on when they will be hitting the showroom floors?

Yep the early PR shots really didn't do the 4 door justice. That thing looks good as a rubicon anyway. I don't think I will be droping $38k on one though.

I will buy my third liberty before i do that. or maybe a 2nd generation libby if the price is right.

Makes you wonder what those Gladiators will be selling for if they ever make them...

Holy cow, my picture is back. Nice looking Liberty, if I say so myself... :D

Well, since I just sent in my first payment on the LJ, I doubt I'll be buying a JK anytime soon. One of the reasons I bought the LJ now was to get a Wrangler that had so much aftermarket support. I just ran out of patience waiting for more stuff on the Liberty and I sure wouldn't be able to wait even a few months to be able to start modding a JK.

Hello my name is David and I'm a Jeep addict.

I seen a green 2 door Rubi in action at the Penticton Jeep Jamboree in British Columbia, I gotta say I really like the new green and the new jeep in general. Only catch is FIRST thing you would have to do when you buy one is have a new bumper ready to go on it if you plan to wheel it. The one piece plastic bumber is junk and so is the plate under it that looks like a good skid plate from a distance but up close it's just a piece of plastic as well. I would definatly buy one of these when they hit the showrooms if I didn't just buy a 06' Rubi a few months ago :D

Nah, that's just a practice bumper and skid anyway! Get that one good and tore up while you're waiting for more aftermarket to come out.
Good ol heat gun and they're almost as good as new. :D

Not sure where...this $38k figure is coming from????.....
the 4 door Rubicon JK's we drove had MSRP stickers of $30ish.....and that was pretty loaded up.....including power windows, remote power locks, etc. etc..........
A VERy reasonable price for an AWESOME totally capable 4 door Jeep.....

Any idea when these hit dealer lots? I keep driving by the local Jeep dealers watching for them and no luck yet. Oh, and Jeep announced they're lowering the prices for the new Wranglers compared to the old ones (TJs).

"The U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the all-new 2007 Jeep Wrangler is $18,765, including $660 for destination. Jeep’s first-ever four-door Wrangler Unlimited is $20,410 (two-wheel drive) and $22,410 (four-wheel drive), including $660 for destination."

TWO WHEEL DRIVE WRANGLER!!?!?!??!?!! Didn't see that one coming!

Yeah. I was a little disappointed at that as well. However, i figure if that is the only major sacrifice they made on this next-gen Wrangler, I wont complain. I'm guessing it wont have the trail rated badge in 2wd form.
