Rumor has it that the 3.8 is a short term option for the new Wrangler and that a new 4.0L V6 is on the way, supposedly around 2009 or 2010. I now see that the Nitro R/T will have a new 4.0L V6 next year. I am wondering if this is the same new motor for the Wrangler, if so it could be available sooner than 2009 or 2010. Anyone have any info? Or Speculation?

I heard about a project named "50 JK". Its talk of putting a 4.2 and a 5.6L Cummins Diesel eingine in the JK. If they do start production on that, and have a Rubicon edition for it, you can bet your rear end that Im switching out for one!
