Post subject:  New Rubicon Express 3.5" installed (Pictures Added)
Well I just finish my Rubicon Express 3.5" Superflex install. Wheww, what a pain. But it was easier than my liberty, just took more time. It looks great and now I'm just waiting on the tires. If anyone needs help, I've learned a few trick. Doing the lift thought me a good bit about my jeep.

Doing my own lift is how I learned. Congrads on the hardware. What tires re you looking at? If I could throw in my .02 cents, get the New Kumho Road Venture MT's. They are sweet! I have seen em in action in mud, sand and trails and they did better than my BFG MT's and are cheaper in price too.

Problems? None yet and I have beaten my Jeep regularily. The only difference is that I would have gotten adjustable control instead of the fixed. This way I could get a true alignment.

Yeah, the install was not to much trouble. I broke one of the self-tapping bolts trying to tread the hole for the bumpstop extensions on the front axle. The other problem was the trac bar. If you order this lift go ahead and order the rustys adjustable trac bar. Even with careful drilling of the hole in the lower axle bracket my trac bar would hit the axle bracket every time I flex more than 1/2 inch on my passenger side. It would make a horrible banging noise every time I hit a big bump. Not to big a deal but still sucked having to wait for the trac bar. RUSTY's is the best as always, they shipped it out the same day I called and I had it in two days. They seemed to know the feeling of looking at a vehicle that you really want to drive but can't.

The other thing is, the rear trac bar relocation bracket is a pain to installed. The bolts and nuts are really hard to reach.

Over all, not to bad. Just make sure you mark your front lower control arms cam bolts with paint so you can get them install back in the right spot.

i think the pic's look good.long time no log in.my exp. with rusty's was not as good as yours,costan xtra grand to relocate my trac bar and shock mounts.and when i called rusty himself he said ohhhh ya ya we'll take care of it . well he still has not.still building the rides for next season. would like some quick milk runs.can't figure out the camera trhing to show pic's but she's sweeeeeeet. later ken

Looks good. Though you could stand to lose the milk jugs off the bumper. That was one of the first things I did to mine.

Too bad there are no Milk Jugs to remove from the 2007...if anything, thats the only thing I don't like about the 2007....I ordered one and I'm waiting impatiently for it....but I'm already looking for a better bumper solution....and its not even here yet! :lol:

Your black Rubi unlimited looks great BTW....nice lift and wheels!

Thanks guys, the milk jugs do come off when I go offroading. I broke one two weeks after I got it. My wife likes the milk jugs, so I bought a set of the end caps and just change them when I good offroading.

rig looks great

I dont know if you have given any though to break over angle yet but let me get you thinking
a stock TJ ,SWB, has about the same break over as you do right now but....
Put on the Nth degree tummy tucker and get 2"+ more lift and you dont need to lift you rig any more than it is
I am running about 3.5-4" of lift on my '02 TJ with the tummy tucker and only 30's I have the same or better break over as a TJ with a 3.5" lift and 33 with out a T-case drop if they drop the T-case my break over is way better and when I go to 33" I will have the same if not better break over as guys running 35's

Yeah, Tummy Tuck is next, but I got a good bit of saving to do before I do that. I didn't have to drop the T-case any on the unlimited but when I do the tummy tuck I'll have to buy a new CV drive shaft. That ought to give me a pretty good break over angle. I'm still working the bugs out of the lift that I have.
