Has anyone replaced the Wrangler swing out rear gate with a CJ type fold down gate?

It can be done. I plan on doing it this summer since my existing tailgate is all dented up.

The Rubicon Owners Forum also has info but here where I work it's considered a "chat room" and is blocked. As I recall the person bought a new tailgate and hardware, installed it as was done on the CJ.A bit of fabrication but not an impossible task. Why they went to the swing out gate we'll never know. The fold down has so many more uses.
