Here is a good start, click on the test links to read the details of each component - that's where the more specific information is hidden on this page:

Well I was wondering how the 4 cyl would run with 33's and if the drive train was capable. Could I regear?

The answer is yes, but there are conditions...

One of my best buds has a '95 YJ 4 banger and he runs about a 6" lift and 33s with NO PROBS as far as power and such...he gets round the trails just fine. BUT, he did regear to 4.88s which is what I would recommend. At some point I am gonna do the same to my TJ but the 4.10s are good for now. So yes a 4 cyl will work just fine with 33s, but I would only do it if you plan to regear much lower than the stock YJ gears...hope this helps 8)

Yeah regear is a must
keep in mind also that it will have a dana 35 rear end wich is week and if you plan to do some good wheelin you will be locked and if you are locked with a dana 35 it will break even with only a 4 banger I have seen it hapen many times
Low gears help open diffs help but it is not if but when it will break

Other than that the 4 banger YJ is not bad at all because it is light and very manoverable out on the trail

Yea Jason is right on here...the 4 banger is very light...forgot to mention that bit bout the axles on my buddys YJ...he is locked front and rear and swapped out the rear for a 44...front is still the 30 but with a Super 30 kit...he is gonna be gettin a 44 from a Rubi on the front soon...again sorry I forgot to mention this in my first post and hope this helps a little :D
